In response to soviet advancements in inter-dimensional travel, the US instated Operation Backfire.

The time frame was tight, and the preparations were insufficient.

You have been placed inside Liberty Bell 6, a repurposed spacecraft, there was no time for training.

Intended to be played in full-screen.

Controls:

  • WASD To rotate spacecraft, or move when outside the spacecraft
  • Q and E to roll in either the spacecraft, or spacesuit
  • Scroll wheel to zoom in and out
  • Space to go forwards in spacecraft, or Up in spacesuit
  • Left Shift to go backwards, or Down in spacesuit
  • Left click to interact
  • Press P for menu, or Escape in the PC version

I really like this game so far, I just got the first crystal sample, and again, so far I really like it! the claustrophobia the atmosphere, the ksp type of gimbal for moving, its great! The only problem I've had is I load to a checkpoint because I spent like 20 minutes trying to line the first crystal coordinates up perfectly (I had already collected the sample but I was just screwing around doing that), and the battery failed (it was half full [or half empty}) then the oxygen failed and I died, but when I reloaded from the checkpoint, it showed me at x0 y0 z0, so I didnt know where the next thing was. either than that great game so far!

oh danggg, yeah my checkpoint system is not very robust tbh, will take a look at this soon. I'm planning to develop a sort of spin-off, to fix issues and introduce more content (Soviet spacecraft are so cool tbh), stay tuned if you are interested. Thanks for playing!!!!

very spooky and interesting, i do think the mouse sensitivity is way too high though

I'm glad you enjoyed it! is the sensitivity slider's range not wide enough? I can make it go lower if that is the issue

that'd work, it may just be my device, as i recommended it to a friend and he said it was kinda low

Very nice game, dude! Great athmosphere, sound design, great job.

Just a question: I collected the cristal sample and the document on the Russian pod, then I went to the coordinates written on that... but I found nothing. Did I miss something or the game bugged for some reason?

And a little bug I step into: pressing "return to main menu" in the ingame option makes it impossible to use the "begin" button in the main menu, forcing you to exit the game.

It seems I forgot to add a light around the last note, it could be a bit hard to spot without it, sorry, will add that tomorrow in a quick patch. Thanks for letting me know about that other bug! will see what I can do, and thanks for playing!

How do I know when I've finished a task..???? As far as I can see, there's no way of knowing when a task is finished..

Terribly sorry about that, I just uploaded a patch that added some tick markers next to the initial three tasks (Check devlog for more info). Thanks for playing

Thank you for adding that. It was kinda hard to figure out, if you had finished a task or not, especially since some crystals you can collect 2 samples from.

Superbly detailed and immersive gameplay, yet with the minor missteps along the way, which contributes to a little irritation.

First of all, the game is really good. The atmosphere is decent. The sound design and visuals are spot on, creating a more claustrophobic feel and at the same time having the massive void makes the player wonder and be scared. I loved the ship's design and color grading. Although, the gameplay is definitely not user friendly.

I always encourage developers to get more creative and find ways to immerse the player, but not at the cost of making them bored or irritated. I got really frustrated with the controls and manual. I will turn a blind eye to the "middle mouse" zooming mistake, which took me 5-10 minutes and once I got it right, I was already tired. It was a single control setting, which was not in the game nor on the page. That's fine, you can fix it easily. The mechanics thou, then need a better approach. I would suggest to make the controls simple or use the navigation system to teach the player how to maneuver the space craft, step by step, like most games do. Throwing everything from the beginning might be off putting for some, including me. I do understand the premise and your intention, but it might not apply to most players.

With that said, I really want to see a longer version of the game or at least easier configuration so I can get to those crystals. Amazing job on the game developer. Best of luck with the future projects. Cheers!

Thank you so much for playing! yes, the moment you mentioned the zoom-in I realized my mistake!! I will include the scroll wheel control in the main page. I will also be re-writing the manual to be shorter and more to the point with the control scheme (Perhaps make the images larger too, sorry for the eye strain)

Thanks for considering my feedback. The game is truly awesome and those things I mentioned are just minor details. The overall quality stays the same - superb. Good luck mate!
